2014 will mark the tenth anniversary of the the AIBs, the annual awards run by the Association for International Broadcasting, which celebrate creativity and reward success in factual programming. Each year we search for the most inspiring story-telling across radio, TV and online. The awards continue to be unique in the field of international media for being judged by an independent panel of respected media industry professionals.
The awards have evolved over time to add categories covering children’s programmes, sport, science and transmedia and we are committed to refreshing the format continually. For that reason we are forming a steering committee to look at the categories and entry requirements to keep the AIBs completely relevant to the global media industry. If you’re interested in joining this group, contact the AIB head office.
The AIBs 2014 will be launched in April – and now is the time to talk to us about your involvement – perhaps as an event partner, or a judge. Contact us to explore the opportunities.
The goal for each entrant is the same – to be recognised by their peers in the international broadcasting business by winning an AIB Award. We know it means something. It helps producers spot rising talent. It provides a bench-mark for the information branch of the media sector. In the last 9 years, we’re proud to have helped talented people further their careers.
